I have noticed significantly longer blade life from my Chinese made Shick Injectors. I get 10-12 easy and my beard is barbed wire!. I rarely use DE anymore but 3-4 is about average. I get 9-10 GREAT shaves out of a Ted Pella. Honestly, I'm so impressed with Pellas and so disappointed with other SEs that I'd probably quite SE shaving if they became unavailable. I almost gave up before nice folks like Brian Krampert and Wuchu helped me out.

I am going for my first Shick injector shave tonight with the Chinese blades. I will be interested to see how long the blades last. Normally, I change blades after three shaves as squeezing a couple more shaves out of them is not worth having to endure the discomfort.

I usually average 3 shaves with my favorite DE blades....5 to 7 shaves with my EMS/Personna Injectors....7 days with Chinese Schicks, Alan sent me some Long's Drugs/Personnas that feel like Schick Plus Platinums and are always good for a week minimum. And 10 to 14 shaves with the Gem SS coated SE blades....SE's and Injectors are the only way to go, not to mention I'm getting better shaves, not just more shaves, but significantly better shaves....Both closer and more enjoyable...It's pretty much a win/win situation... I love the shaves with the Treet CS SE blades too, but....usually get some rust or discoloration after first shave.... Probably the humidity around here...

Current Production Injector Blades, Chinese Schick's usually give me ~12 comfortable shaves, with the Personna brand I get ~14 comfortable shaves. I prefer the Personna and keep 40 blades as a back-up to my Vintage Blade Rotation.
My stock of Vintage (#) Blades, from least to favorite IME; Gillette Super Stainless (16), Schick Krona Edge (75), Schick Ultra Platinum Blades (20), Schick Platinum (60)and Schick Plus Platinum (28)- 199 Vintage blades for those keeping score.
They are all very sharp, with the Schick Platinum series being smoothest for me. I took the Plus Platinum blade to 35 shaves, 34 of them were comfortable & stayed sharp with no special care besides a rinse after shaving.

I get around 14 shaves with the DE blades, Gillette 7 O'Clock yellows, 7 with my GEM PTFE coated blades from Pella, and 7 from my PTFE coated injector blades I last purchased from Connaught Shaving. My secret, hand stropping between shaves.

Yo 'P'....you better be careful, my friend...It seems I remember 'razorx's 'pulling my coat-tail' to something about too much 'hand-stropping'....it had to do with the possibility of losing one's eye-sight.......lmao

Have had glasses since age 12 and only problem has been cataract surgery 6 yrs ago and my optometrist says that comes with age and experience not from "hand stropping". What razorx is talking about is just an old mother's tale. So get your mind out of the gutter and realize that I am talking about hand stropping razor blades!

Same here. I couldn't stand Schick anything 50 yrs. ago. Now ,knowing what I do , Schick injectors are my #1 Razor to use. Yeah, 10 shaves---yes. I even got 16 from a Personna 74. DE blades went 3 shaves max and out. Enjoy!
