They are real. I know this because I now possess one. I'll try to get pics up as soon as I can. It's the single razor in the white Bakelite case. Has some unused and sealed blades and one used blade. Both blade cases, and in near mint condition.

It's really great seeing pictures of the Gem version because they're pretty rare. I also love the looks of the old pre-Micromatic blades that don't have the cutouts, wish ASR would bring those back but I know that ain't happening.
Congratulations on a fantastic score!

I also like to see the old blades. I was very fortunate that this set came with 3 sealed packs and one used blade.

Oops...Woke up this morning and seen there was a pristine cased GEM Jewel on eBay for a very low price and BIN. Couldn't pass it up, so now I have two Jewels. (Will post pics of the new one when it arrives.) It's just like the one I posted. White clam shell case.

That's great Inferno! The Gem Jewel is on my list of razors I wanna get but don't have. If you're ever interested in selling it, please keep me in mind.

Here, as promised, are pics of my newest acquisition. My second GEM Jewel. It is in near perfect condition and the pic do not do it justice. It looks like it was bought and put in the bottom of a sock drawer for it's entire existence. Probably the most perfect example of these razors I have ever come across. This was me when I opened the package: Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy the GEM Jewel porn as much as I do.
