08 July 2013Razor: GEM OCMM + Pella PTFE (6) Brush: WSP Stubby SuperFine Soap: Martin de Candre -- Signature (94) AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask A nice and easy post-run shave. I think being more awake had a positive impact on my technique. Everything about this shave just seemed effortless. Have a great week everyone!

Greetings Tuesday 9th July 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Ever Ready 1924 Shovelhead Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Soap: GZD Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Simple Balm Only a moderate shave caused by my idleness to walk back to my bedroom and get a new blade, when after less than half a pass I realised the blade I was using had 'died'. The result was endless touching up something most definitely not required with this razor! Regards Dick.

Greetings Thursday 11th July 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Ever Ready 1914 Little Lather Catcher Blade: Treet Carbon Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed Soap: Derby Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Simple Balm A good shave from this Treet carbon blade and the last of my Derby soap which I will not replace: it works just fine and lathers wonderfully but there are so many other relatively cheap soaps that are better. Regards Dick.

I guess a new thread wasn't started for this week? 19 July 2013Razor: GEM OCMM + Pella PTFE (9) Brush: Elite7 Shelly + WSP HMW Special Grade 24/48 Soap: Martin de Candre -- Signature (99) AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask People have already been enquiring about this HMW Special Grade knot. A single use is by no means definitive but this knot is certainly different from the HMW knots previously offered at WSP. So far I can only say that it feels more luxurious, softer, yet not floppy by any means. I'm certain that there will be a face-off shave in the near future pitting HMW E7 against each other. In one corner will be Shelly (HMW SG) with Scarlett (HMW) in the other corner. I will try to find some way to enjoy such a painstaking process so that I may bring this critical information to you all. Stay tuned!
