Good morning, everybody, Friends of mine have compiled a survey about wet shaving, aptly called Wet Shaving Survey. It takes about five minutes to fill out, and I think it is really well done. The results will be made available to the general public. I was allowed to take a peak at the results yesterday (the day the survey was launched), and things aren't looking that bad for SE razors at all (see attachment). But I think SEs could use a little support from you guys. Thanks! Robin

Just went through it and represented the SE and TOST community. (Wrote in TOST in the section it allowed.)

On behalf of the guys conducting this survey: Thanks! I know that a few choices were discussed a lot, amongst them the choice of safety razors (Ever Ready is not in there, but then again, nor is Rotbart...). I'm also looking forward to seeing the first real results. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks. The fact that one major cut-throat related forum is participating is showing. Unfortunately, the guys at B&B seem disinclined to even publish this survey. Hence the skewed angle, I think. Ah, well, it's early days, and it's not my survey anyway.

Did it! It was easier than getting a good shave from a Micro"Junk"omatic!

Did it! It was easier than getting a good shave from a Micro"Junk"omatic! I heard that. And took the survey.

Thank you, gentlemen. So far, 314 people from international (read: North American) forums have responded. The survey has since been translated into German, and there have been 137 responses from nassrasur.com alone so far. Which is quite surprising, given the member stats (more than 50k North America vs 10k Germany). There are some interesting differences to be found already. It has therefore been decided to translate the survey into Russian and French, too. The good news is, the number of responses is approaching a critical mark beyond which certain statistical methods and metrics can be sensibly applied. I think that a solid interim report should become available in a couple of months, depending on the speed with which the Russian and French translations will be completed. Thanks again! If you want to share this survey in other online communities, it can still be found at tinyurl.com/wetshavingsurvey Best regards, Robin
