I found this Made Rite 7650 awhile back at a flea market and decided it deserved a little work since the original pure badger knot was pretty much useless. I replaced it with a TGN 20 mm finest badger fan, and polished up the handle a little. The base of the handle was a mess when I got it, I'm not really sure what happened to it, but I didn't even try to do anything to make it look better. It's a simple little brush, but very comfortable to hold and use. While I absolutely love the performance of the TGN finest knots, I'm not sure if I like the looks of the fan, especially after it blooms, as well as the bulb shaped knots. Before: After: Here it is after one practice lather and two uses:

The HT Brush Restoration Machine strikes again! I love the way you make em' sparkle! Maybe one day put a boar knot in one of those babies. Nice work as always.

Be patient Joe, my friend, be patient. I went with a badger in this one because that's what the original knot was, and I've wanted to try a fan for awhile so this one seemed like a good candidate.

I have a 20mm TGN Finest Fan and it's one of my favorite brushes. I think the quality and face feel is every bit as good as much more expensive commercial brushes. But it's as big a brush as I want for face lathering.
Again, you did a good job!
