I spotted this old guy, and an Erskine 3103, buried in a display case awhile back at an antique store, and, even though it was a little rough no way was I leaving it behind. Pictures of the Erskine will be posted before long. The knot was just setting in the handle, it fell out when I tipped it over. Here's the inside of the handle, it's full of an extremely hard plaster like substance which makes it a very heavy and solid feeling brush. It also has a metal band inside to secure the knot I guess. Since it was originally fitted with a pure badger knot I replaced it with a TGN 20 mm pure badger, and polished and cleaned up the handle as best as I could. It's got a few blemishes, the main one is an area of brownish discoloration around the the beginning of Rubberset that won't come off. And the entire wording on the front is stamped crooked, but it gives the old guy character!

Yikes, I have never heard of these brushes if so they skipped out of memory. It looks ivory colored maybe it was once a white finish but age darkened the handle a bit. Nice work HT ya done it right!
