Picked her up on the bay for a few dollars more than I wanted to spend.. But honestly, I would pay double. We just dont see that many F types available for purchase. Tarnish this, weak spring that...... I am one step closer to owning every injector type. All the variations within each type you ask? Well first things first. I am just proud to own a prestigous injector that was made for a very short time due to the war effort. I probably wont shave with it, that was never the motivation behind aquiring it to begin with. Some hot water and dish soap, followed up with baking soda toothpaste and toothbrush, she is once again the pretty girl she always was to begin with. Attachments:

Greetings
A super looking razor, if they are considered very uncommon in the states, they are as rare as hens teeth here. Iv'e never read about anybody this side of the pond even claiming to own one!
If it's the one I saw on e-bay (and I'm pretty sure it is) you've done a smashing job of cleaning it up.
Regards Dick

As far as I know yes, and the head is brass. Mine was super nasty, but I stand firmly behind the miracles within cheap toothpaste and an old toothbrush. I admit, I just stare at this razor. The long curved lines on the handle, pure art deco!

I've drooled over the F for some time myself. I hope I'm able to stumble across one in the future...and one that looks half as good as yours turned out!

Well gents I finally got around to using this Type F injector today, and I couldnt have been more excited about using it. Giddy in fact. So I loaded up a new yellow pack Schick which it didnt want to do, evenly across the nubs or stops that is. After that the blade proceeded to slide right out of the razor head. I trried to tighten up the blade fit by manually "bending" the head that holds the blade in, just a touch but to no avail. The blade simply falls out . Were the old blades much thicker back in the 40's ? This is a true key injector razor, not the older magazine type. Well to move on, even with keeping the blade parallel and not sliding out I tried shaving with it. Any less aggressive would be shaving without the blade. Very bummed out on this. Maybe the head of my razor is damaged? Doesnt appear to be. Anyone use an F before with good results?

Sorry to hear about that. Never had that happen with an injector.

Wow, hate to hear that. I have a few old blades that were made prior to the mid-50's, they are solid without the cutouts that the Hydro-magic required. Visibly they don't appear to be any thicker than modern ones.

Sorry to hear that! I'm surprised. The E models are older and they certainly do fine with modern blades.
