I have been comparing the Tinned Sam Gawiths Best Brown Flake with the loosely packaged (cheaper) Gawith & Hoggarth Best Brown No.2 flake, both are nice and very similar, i am getting quite a nico hit from a bowlful from both versions. I have tried my first ever Drew Estate Acid Krush Morado Maduro - well that was different, very sweet with an earthy tobacco undertone with vanilla and spice, the flavour held all the way through the burn. I can see they are not for everyone, however, as a change it was quite nice, i added 2 to my last order, so 1 left. I think i will be trying other Drew Estate cigars, although, maybe something more traditional. i may get a sampler pack.

Just finished my first day back to work, after a short break, I was covered so I could spend a week away. Sitting in the garden chilling in the sunshine with the 2 dogs enjoying a bowlful of lightly rubbed out G&H Kendal Best Brown No. 2 flake in the Petersons Kildare 999 with a cold Aussie Lager. Very nice

Peterson's Founders Choice in the Petersons Rocky 80S. A very nice change after the Best Browns I have been trying. I am definitely getting more of the aromatics as my pipe technique improves. What more could you ask, sitting in the quiet garden with the sun shining smoking my pipe with a cold beer. Very nice

Didnt' get to post on Sunday, but I took an 8x60 Double Ligero by La Flor Dominicana on an early springtime road trip. Other than the size, it is unremarkable.
Cracked my first tin of Peterson's Perfect Plug on Monday. Somewhat earthy like Gawith blends I've tried, but also sweet. Good stuff.

Got my first plugs in my cart with the tobacconist i use, Peterson's 3P's is in there.

Started the Day with a bowlful of Peterson's Founders choice in the Falcon bent with Standard bit fitted with a Rustic Dublin Bowl. Quickly becoming a favourite of mine. On with my first bowl of Rattrays Hal O' the Wynd in the Falcon Bent with a Dental bit fitted with a Rustic Billiard bowl, quite nice, mellow, fragrant and an easy smoke.

Another bowl of Rattrays Hal O' the Wynd in a Falcon Bent with Dental bit, fitted with a Rustic Billiard bowl. I like this one. Very easy smoking, although a quick burner compared to flake.

Just received my latest order this morning which contained some Plug to try, i opened the Samuel Gawith Grousemoor Plug (25g trial pk). I prepped it as best i could, slicing it and rubbing it out, the bits left over i cube cut and rubbed out. I will hopefully master prepping this a little better as i get more practice. I am on with my 1st bowl of it in a Falcon international bent with filter, fitted with a smooth Algiers bowl. It seems very nice and is a slow, cool burner.

I cleaned some pipes up last night. I still have some of the Lane 1Q that should smoke good.

Not much on any of the flavored cigars.

Peterson's Perfect Plug this morning, and a CAO Brazilia on a sunny, Spring evening. Both are great.

Started the day earlier with a bowlful of Sam Gawith Grousemoor plug, cut and rubbed out in a Peterson's Kildare Smooth Bent Pipe 999. Very nice, slow burning, mellow with a bit of a Nico kick
