Had a pipe of Exclusive on the way to work. This again. Might as well use the same pic.

I would love to smoke a pipe. Unfortunately the wife disapproves. 😡
Can I come over to your place Fuzzy for a Scotch and Smoke? I will bring the Scotch. 😁

Naturally sweet with berry, and nuts notes they would pair wonderfully with the smokiness of the latakia and the spiciness of the perique. I wouldn't pair it with aromatics... I think it would be too much sweetness.

This has become a favorite pipe. Kaywoodie of some kind I think. Still has the stinger too. Had a bowl of Prince Albert on way in this morning.

As I am not a pipe smoker, what is a stinger on a pipe?

Had a fantastic bowl of Escudo on my Gasparini. A little story on why I chose Escudo, escudo is a Portuguese word for shield and it was the name of our national currency until we entered the euro zone. When I researched the Vapers for me to try this one was consistently on the ones to try so I had to do so hehe as it turns out it’s my favorite for now. Great consist burn, a spicy smoke that when I retrohale I feel the Perique spiciness tingling in the nose. And the cut is shaped as a coin! But I need to commit this pipe exclusively to non aromatics. I definitely could still taste some chocolaty notes from the Boswell blend that I smoked before... and I felt that this smoke was a bit more moist than the others. Maybe I need to let it dry a bit? As for stingers I think Fuzzy was talking about this: They’re small pieces of metal which cool down the smoke and allow condensation to occur so that the smoke that reaches our mouth is drier.

As I am not a pipe smoker, what is a stinger on a pipe? I will get a couple of pictures. The stinger is on the end of the stem that screws into the pipe. It keeps liquid from the pipe from getting to the mouth price. Kaywoodie called there pipes with stingers drinkless because of this. I did not think abput the cooling thing until I read corto post above. I like a pipe with a stinger. But regular pipes are great too. You just need to keep a pipe cleaner handy incase moisture builds up.

corto do most Navy tobaccos have certain mixes in them? From what I found they can come with different combinations of tobacco. Virginia tobacco seems to be consistently present. Some are flavored with rum but the pressing process and presentation in coins or pressed navy flakes are the distinction.
