Menthol Monday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave Ingram JR#226 Synthetic Micromatic OC Personna Gem CS Personna Pal CS CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Florida Water I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Ingram Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the JR #226 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Micromatic OC Razor using a Personna Gem and Pal CS SE blades and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Florida Water AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... The plan was to use the Gem CS blade for the first pass and then change over to the Pal CS for the second pass. That is exactly what I did. The GEM blade worked well on the first pass. It was more audible than the Pal probably because it was encountering thicker beard. I followed up with the Pal on the second pass. It did a great job of finishing off this excellent shave. I got no nicks, cuts or irritation from the blades. After rinsing the blades thoroughly and drying them off, I put them aside for tomorrows shave. I will reverse the order for that shave and use my Micromatic Clog-pruf.

Monday 29th January Zenith 506U TS Truefitt & Hill - West Indian Limes Cream Ever Ready 1912 (US) GEM SSC #4 Alum Wash Truefitt & Hill - West Indian Limes Cologne (sample) Lacura Moisturiser A lovely cased short handled 1912 found in a grooming set. I don't think it was originally part of the set, but that was to my benefit. Got an excellent shave which made my morning.

29 JanuaryWilliams Menthol MondayPre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: 25mm Synthetic, Maseto Shaving(MS) Soap: Menthol Williams, w/ TSD M-Bomb Razor: Superior 1900 Handle: jayaruh Reproduction Blade: PAL (4) Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse, OSMA Alum block and Clubman Aftershave Photo: No Photo Still showering and shaving at work after the gym. The master bath at home is starting to come back together. Last week I got a GEM Push Button. I shaved with it 3 times but need to work on it some more. It's still leaving me raw around my Adams Apple. Today I went for a Menthol Monday shave with some vintage Menthol Williams. The menthol is no longer really there so I add a little TSD M-Bomb to make up for it. It was such a nice shave I did a third pass just because I could. Was left with a DFS.

Quick post of todays shave while I am getting ready for work. corto sent me a different tube of Musgo Real. This one os Oak Moss he tells me. Very nice scent and excellent later. Real Hi Class stuff. Mt favorite 1912 with a new ASR blade gave a beautiful shave that was topped off with Day Logic (RiteAid) Brisk since it is Menthol Monday. This was also a really nice face lather for a cream. I am going to post the video in the shave school.

Mon 29th Jan Omega 11126 boar Stirling Baker Street Alu.Hawk + S/S Handle Feather Pro [ 4 ] Tuff Green A/S Lotion Finished off my AC/SE rotation with the Hawk. As with other light Razors I tend to replace the stock handle with a heavier one, otherwise they are too light for me. The Hawk has quite a good degree of blade feel, which reminds me to employ short strokes and not rush during initial clearance. Once the bulk has been removed the Razor calms down a lot, allowing the use of longer strokes. I was rather worried about works on the upper lip and chin, but I need not have worried as I completed the shave without fuss. All in all I find the performance of this inexpensive Razor rather good, as the quality of the finished Shave was excellent all round.

I believe that is a Perle. I have one just like that Greetings Although mine is not badged up at all I have personally seen them stamped up as Le Grelot ,and L'Essor, and I do know they were sold under several other names, I have tried to find out who made them but drawn a blank. What I have found out is that the stropper handles with most of them are stamped Unis France but I am unable to find out who they were, perhaps they were the company that made all of these razors. It seems to me that probably subject to a large minimum order they would stamp any name on them you wanted! I any event they are really nice shavers and built like a tank. Regards Dick.
