Beautiful jayaruh . Those deserve their own thread I second that!!!! I will be traveling to Charlotte NC to watch Gsons play some basketball. I won't be working on the handles til Monday, and the razors are scheduled for a Monday delivery. Lord willing, I will start a new thread on Monday. That was just to wet your appetite.

Beautiful weather and flowing traffic both contributed to a pleasant two hour drive. It was great to see the boys. Eli won his game. They started out slow, but ended up with a 10 point lead. Eli is the Gson that had leukemia. Praise God he is doing well now. Henry played the hardest game of the season. They suffered their first loss. He is 13 and he is playing in the 13-15 category and some of those players were pretty big. We took them out to Jersey Mike's for sub sandwiches. Veddy nice. It is good to be home though.

I have a video with the Lather Catcher rendering on youtube right now. It should help address some of the issues that the Original Poster was having. I hope it helps.
Also, Fuzzy , I used the Nivea cream. Once I get a couple of more used out of it, you are welcome to use it for the loaners program if you would like.

So picking up where I left off, one our group was kind enough to send some injector razors my way. Well now we're talkin' 'bout a completely different animal here. This try-out was a Schick G4 with a new Schick blade inserted.
Overall I got a very nice shave w/o the snap, crackle & pop that came from my 1912 ER! The handling of the Schick is defiantly a "modern" feeling razor. Many have said "very much like a cartridge". Now I did pick-up a couple of nicks along the chin line and at the "Adams" apple area (normally tricky areas for me anyway). So there is a learning curve but all in all it is a nice difference compared to the "unmentionables"
Some have likened the two systems to the difference between a standard transmission and an automatic transmission.
So the learning goes on.
My next question is are there blades from manufacturers other than Schick for injector type razors, who makes 'em an' where can I get 'em?

I second the Personna blades from Andrew @ linuxguile shave shop. Good price for a great blade.

I prefer injectors over SE's but that's just me. As for hearing the cutting sound of an SE, if I take out my hearing aids it could sound like a truck driving by and I still wouldn't know. Reckon I'm missing out on part of the experience. Drat!

Andrew also carries those Japanese Schick blades....The Pro-line B20s, those are the sharpest blades on the planet! THEY are like "Feather" sharp!
