My first SE razor was a late junior, fantastic shaver that opened the door to SE razors for me. Still have it, still love it.

I've had a boring 1912 before but I also had one that was more aggressive than my micromatic...Fuzzy gave me a G3 bakelite handle that is right in the middle....I guess you could call it a goldilocks 1912 but it wasn't the GEM 1924 goldilocks 1912 I hear Brian posting about....But's my 1943ish Military issue goldilicks 1912 and it's one of my favorite shavers 'period'!!

I will try again. That was my first shave with it, so pilot error could very well be the cause. I have read that you have to hold it so the head is almost flat on your face. Give that a try. Yep, we call that riding the cap!
