I just bought a Schick on Ebay. It should arrive on the 10th. It says it is a G1. I will be posting pictures from Ebay when I figure out how to do that. Also how can I clean it? I do not have barbicide. I do not want to ruin the handle. Any cleaning advice?

You can get a small bottle of barbicide cheaper than a bottle of alcohol. Bout 2 bucks at sally beauty supply. It wont ruin the handle in a couple minute soak. I usually do hot soapy dish detergent and a toothbrush, then ultrasonic in more hot water, then barbicide.

You got a video on your channel on how to do it? If not that might be a good video idea. Also I think I got it for a good price $10.10 now I have to wait for a few things. Also do you know about the voting for the Morning TOST soap? I have not heard anything new about that.

Clean the razor with normal household cleaning products. Hot soapy water for the handle. Toothpaste and an old soft toothbrush for the head (and maybe the handle). Pipe cleaners are great for getting inside the head of injectors. Get Autosol, Peek or some other local metal polishing paste if you need to clean metal razors often. The most important cleaning ingredients are elbow grease and patience. Once you've finished, you won't need Barbicide anymore. Properly rusty and stained razors need more radical treatment, but most clean up easily.

Alright I will be doing what you say.

I wouldn't use any used razor without sterilizing it first.

Its a small 6 oz bottle and it has the ratio on it. I just use distilled water and make it a pretty blue color. I keep that about a month for personal use. 10. is a good deal. That little guy is one of the smoothest shavers I have. Enjoy!

Fuzzy is right...it is NOT a G1....It is an E4 made in Canada. Fuzzy is right, the E3's are when they added the parrallel guard bar grooves...But it appears yours doesn't have the flaps on the round spring loop. They dropped those with the E4s. These are GREAT shavers, congratulations... I'd spray it with "Scrubbing Bubbles" and scrub it with a tooth brush and use tooth paste (with whiteners) aswell on the head...Swish just the head in isopropil alcohol if you want to disinfect it and don't have any Barbesol. Don't soak it though, and wipe off the handle immediately. Congrats, you are the proud new father of a bouncing baby E type!! 😍😘😎
