I really like the blue TNNSER3D. That is nice. I'm waiting to hear back from my nephew if he'll print it and what material he will use and if I'll have any color choice or if it will be like the Model T from Henry Ford - "any color you want as long as you choose black"

Mon 9th Dec. I have been away for a few nights, and waiting for me was a little parcel. Thanks to the Generosity of Arthur @ Electrif I now have my own TNNSER 3D. I have used one on loan, but tried this one today. A really top quality Shave with an amazing finish.

TNNSER shave before bed... One of my favorite soaps to boot. 👍

I can officially join this group now as I have finally acquired my very own TNNSER 3D! A friend luckily ordered a few during one of the group buys and we initiated a PIF/trade. I have it loaded and ready for tomorrow's shave. Can't wait. I'll post results following said shave.

Finished my current Vintage SE Rotation by using the modern kid on the block- The TNNSER 3D. To me Shaves somewhere between a 1924 and 1914. A great finish apart from bit around nostrils I cannot get right- yet. That Vitos works so well with this Razor, how on earth can it be so inexpensive.

... how on earth Vitos can be so inexpensive. Because they do tons of product for many thousand of barbers.

SOTD 12/17/2019 Razor: TNNSER 3D Blade: Treet Brush: Stirling 26mm Fan knot Finest Badger Pre-Shave: Dr. Bronner's Lavender Soap Lather: Captain's Choice 45th Parallel Aftershave: Thayer's Witch Hazel Lavender I was really excited for today's shave but unfortunately was left disappointed and a bit confused. Everything preshave went as planned I felt my skin and fuzz were adequately prepared for the day's shave. My lather was initially a bit light but I added more product and it came out nicely slick and thick. I used the Stirling Fan to build it up a bit more with some face lathering, more on the soap later. I had initially loaded a freshly stropped Gem PTFE blade in the TNNSER but upon a few strokes with the grain I decided that 15 shaves had been enough for that blade and trashed it. I replaced it with a fresh Treet blade (a new blade I received in a PIF/trade). I continued my shave only to find that the blade change hadn't markedly improved the quality of my shave. It wasn't uncomfortable or even irritating to the skin. I just felt like I was fighting the razor. I wasn't experiencing the effortless efficiency I get with most other SE razors. So I finished my WTG pass and began XTG. I figured I just needed some stubble reduction to really get this shave going. Only that wasn't what happened. I again fought through this pass. I rinsed and began my third and final ATG pass only to find even more resistance then on my previous passes. Again, there was no irritation, cuts or weepers. The shave was comfortable as far as my face goes. Even now post shave I have zero irritation. Anyway, after my third pass ATG I decided I needed a closer shave and opted to do another full ATG pass (something I never do) and was able to get a bit closer. All in all I ended up with a very comfortable shave, but not close at all. When feeling the stubble on my face I would consider this completed shave to feel similar to a finished WTG single pass with my Gem Damaskeene. So here is my question, what on earth am I doing wrong? Is there a way to increase the efficiency of the razor? Any technique suggestions? I changed my angle around several times to attempt better results but perhaps I missed something. I'm not giving up on the razor yet, but it may just end up being too mild for me. All responses welcome, and please don't take this as a criticism of the TNNSER. Today was my first shave and I fully expect that the issues I'm having to be of my own creation and of no failure of the TNNSER at all.

Everybody’s faces are different. I know I will be beating a dead horse, but. Make sure you use little to no pressure. You should be able to feel the blade on your face at that point. Then you will be able to adjust your angle accordingly. It is an extremely light razor and one would want to apply pressure. Never a good thing. Give it a few more tries.

I feel like my technique is pretty good. I don't think pressure is the issue as too much pressure would have probably caused irritation which wasn't the problem I had. Mine was that it was almost as though the I couldn't get the razor cut without battling my stubble. Additionally, my shave was not very close. Almost like I had a five O'clock shadow after four passes. No irritation, skin was very comfortable...just not a close shave.

brandaves, if you could post some pictures with the blade loaded, specifically of the head, and I'm thinking front, top, and back. It has been my experience that some of the TNNSER-3D's are tight -- especially with the blade loaded, and if the top cap is not slid back far enough, the blade appears to stay back and you get a much milder shave. You may need to make an adjustment to the tracks that it slides in to get it to go far enough back. Pics will help us make sure that things are sitting where they should.

A couple of other questions: how would you describe your shaving angle -- steep or shallow? I'm honestly trying to remember the angle I typically use....I want to say it's the same one I use for a Micromatic, (I'll shave with it tomorrow to confirm). One thing I do recall is that this razor is on the loud side -- almost Lather Catcher loud -- do you recall hearing the cutting?

Try sliding the cap back a bit more.
