Today’s shave. jmudrick was kind enough to let me try his OCCAM. I was curious about it because it has a unique way to load and hold the blade. It also looks really cool. Unfortunately that is where it ended for me. The shave was not pleasurable at all. I had 4 days growth to deal with. It struggled to cut. I thought I might have had a dud blade. So I changed it out. That is an easy process. With another new blade the same thing. I also found the handle to be extremely ungainly. I stopped after the first pass and went with my experimental SE. this did wonderful. I finished off with some VEG. So I smell and feel fantastic. Hi Tom I get on very well with the Occam but only on plate 3 with a Proguard blade and Shave Daily What Plate/ Blade were you using. By the way have had a great week with a TNNSER 3D, well done. Regards-Mike B

Fri 25th Oct. Cyril Salter / MS. ED2band Arran Aromatics Bay Citrus Schick "O" Clone Schick Twin - Japan [ 5 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion Though the "O" Clone is ranked as mild, I find it very efficient and forgiving. I find the Shave to be very smooth, and i can work away without problems, to ensure even the most awkward areas are cleared up so that the the Overall Finish is very good

The stock wedge gives a nice shave on that one. I did a video on it. Very cool -- I'll check it out! Fred, that is a cool plastic wedge-adapter/simulator. Where did you get it?

Cold Water Rinse PSC Caffeinated Shaving Cream Jayaruh #340 Badger TNNSER 3D Black/Green CVS CS SE CWS PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm My prep was just a cold water rinse. The PSC Caffeinated Shaving Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the TNNSER 3D Black/Green razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Very cool -- I'll check it out! Fred, that is a cool plastic wedge-adapter/simulator. Where did you get it? I got mine here: the link. I believe this vendor is using riverrun's posted specs on thingverse. What I liked about the vendor I used was that he sent me a couple of different types -- if I'm remembering correctly, I think it was Andreas who had developed several (perhaps all) of them and posted on thingverse. Given that you have a good 3D printer in your area, you may be able to get them done cheaper; but as you know, I'm living in a 3D printer desert....at least at the moment. I'll also add, and I know THIS won't surprise you, but they do require some minor sanding/filing to get them to work with some razor models. Just the nature of the "3D Beast", I guess.

I just did a cold water single pass with very light touch up for a SAS to run to the grocery store and the hardware store with my wife and kids. I want to do a comparison shave with these two soon but didn't want to wait till then to use them both. TNNSER 3D with Gem SS PTFE Enders Speed Shaver with proline B20 Stirling Executive man on two band badger Quick shower and hit the road. Both razors are a joy to use but the TNNSER 3D is definitely easier to load.

Interesting day today. In the past I've complained about the Supply Injector. Recently, I had the chance to trade an unmentionable for a Supply Injector. I decided to go ahead for two reasons. I prefer SE razors and to an extent I felt like I gave up on that razor too soon. Also one of the complaints I had about mine was it didn't seem to glide smoothly but would tend to grab at my skin. The one I have now is the polished/mirror finish and I thought that it might be less inclined to grab. I used it with a Derby shave stick and my Jayaruh synthetic. While Derby is a good soap as far as how it works, I find it lacking in one area vs GZD or Arko. That is that I always feel like it saponifies the oils out of my skin. I hadn't used Derby for a long time and using it today confirmed my thoughts. There are sticks that work better for me. I ended up using some balm and still feel like my face is dried out. That is not normal for me as I tend to have oily skin and don't need a lot post shave care. The Supply gave me a very nice shave. I was done shaving and feeling my face just before typing this and thought, this is close, but not all that close and then I realized I had not gone ATG on my cheeks. Back to the bathroom, a little shave butter and I'm BBS on my cheeks and overall DFS. I did choke up on the razor as I find it heavy and I think that also helped get a better shave.

I went ahead and ordered me one. Being laid up, I just don't have what it takes to even think about getting files and negotiating printing. Maybe later. Thanks for the referral.
