Hey Guys...I've recently been informed by Hoosier Trooper; my good friend and Gem-i Master Tom; that he has sent me a package...That will change the SE less condition of my Shave Cave....
Til now, my Schick Injector was my only SE razor....Now Tom is changing this....He knows I've had this growing passion for SE's and have recently been dreaming about trying to decide which Gem to shave with...ha,ha
Now I have no idea, what is in this package....So I guess it goes without saying....there will be a few sleepless nights til this parcel makes the scene....Whatever it is, is not as important, as the thoughtfulness behind this gesture....So lets have a round of applause for Tom.....
Now....what do you cats think is in there ??....lol....
I will be keeping everybody up to date as this story developes...

No applause is necessary, it's all in the spirit of friendship and what this site is all about. Lot's of fellas here have shared their gear with others, and I've been lucky enough to have been the recipient of a few gifts myself.
Hope you enjoy!

It would HAVE to be a 1912. It's the classic starter SE.
Let's see if I'm right.

I don't know John....soo many classics....LC's, Junior Bar's all the '12 variants,'ER '14's, 24's, G bars, FW's, Contours, OCMM's, Clog Proofs, Bullet Tips...and the list goes on and on...Or it doesn't have to be a classic...could be one of those 'one offs' nobodys heard of that shaves great....lol....
I myself, am at a loss...I have no idea....as I said, mail from the U.S. to Turkey is around a week to 10 business days...so I imagine a few more sleepless nights...lol...
But your guess will be duly noted....anybody else care to venture a guess...?

You've got alot of really great eye-candy around here...This might be the best looking razor hang on the web... It comes naturally, single edge razors are loaded with personality...Beautiful looking with quality construction, tactile and auditory feedback and an amazing shave.Manufactured in the days before human life and razors became cheap and meaningless. None of that exists out there in the real world right now,we were at a pharmacy a couple of hours ago and I saw a 6 bladed fantastic plastic razor in a blister pack,I felt like I landed on another planet, what is wrong with people these days ?

My wild guess is that Tom sent the Birdman the SE equivalent of an I2 H-M which as we all know is the venerable #%%@@@**% He's gonna love it !

Lloyd, good to see you are going to try some SEs. I love my injectors but there is nothing like a shave from a traditional SE. Keep us posted!
(Thought of you today when I was grocery shopping as I picked up a bottle of "Teddys" root beer. Real good stuff)

Teddy's Root Beer?....Drool...drool...you were right to think of me....one day we need to have a "sharing a case of Root Beer hang"...nothing better on a hot day than....1. the smell of menthol in the morning....also, After Shave from the freezer, any time of day ...2.COLD root beer in the afternoon...3.and a root beer float in the evening......drool...drool...

Good root beer, menthol AS and SE razors, does life get any better than that I ask you!?
I remember Briars from my childhood. Man was that good! Now it's IBC since I can't find Briars.
Want a low calorie root beer float? You'll think I'm insane. Root beer and milk. Don't mock it before you try it. About a 50/50 mix.

Yep...Briars rocks......I even love the 2 litre A&W bottles at the grocery store...Something about that root beer taste swings me back in time, to a place that makes me smile.....These vintage razors can do that too...some more than others....Its like music... I won't mock the milk/root beer thing...but what really knocks me out is when the ice-cream is still half solid in the root beer...and little ice crystals form all over the ice cream....Whew!! I love it.....lol...it's those little ice crystals that I'm addicted to...

No argument about a real root beer float, I know the crystals well. I just have to watch the calories. I'll indulge a real one or 2 RBFs over the course of the summer.
