Brush- VDH Boar Soap-Williams Razor- Eversharp/Shick Hydro-Magic Blade- Personna PTFE ( 11 ) Aftershave- Pinaud Stayed up too late woke up too early...had to be up and out quickly this morning. Good old faithful, the I2H-M shaved wonderfully on auto-pilot,grabbed the Pinaud Mrs.Razorx put in my Easter Basket...capped off a decent Sunday shave and out the door. The wetter the better,my best injector shaves happen with when my lather has high percentage of water content. Which of the Pinaud did you get?

Right. This keeps getting better. Having re-read (again) the usage instructions for the GEM razors, I decided to use even less pressure while keeping the head flat on the face. Behold! it worked. Same close shave, but with less irritation. Actually, none. Nice. The 3rd shave with the Pella blade, by the way. The brush is yesterday's Thäter's big brother, a bulb shaped 26mm two band with the stock handle. The soap is Green Mountain Soap's Spiced Rum ( goo.gl/dqfmq): "Triple milled shaving soap formulated to provide a creamy, sturdy, slick lather. Essential oils of bay rum, spices, herbs, and citrus are grounded by a woody-earthy scent that transports you to exotic islands." Not sure about the exotic islands (the most exotic island I've ever been to being Rügen) but the rest of the ad is spot on. goo.gl/i86HG has pictures of the plant and the production process. It is the most skin friendly soap I have ever used, but still works very well (something I cannot say of any other eco friendly soap). Wonderful photos BeBerlin. Your soaps are unfamiliar to me and look absolutely delicious! One thing I have found with the Pellas is that the first use does seem to provide a blade with too much 'bite', as you put it earlier. I find that shave three provides the most comfortable shave for my skin. I'm just not thrilled at being the human facial strop that sets the blade in the first couple of uses. It is good to hear your technique is under scrutiny, however those darned Pellas do improve with use. It is terrific to see your progress as a newbie to the MMs. Thnx for the posts!
