Greetings
Monday 25th March 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Schick G8 Injector Blade: Personna Stainless Coated Brush: Turkish No. 6 Soap: Tweex Aftershave: Floid Balm
A perfect shave, I have lost count with how many shaves I have had from this blade (a problem with injectors when you leave the blade in and then use another razor) but it must be five or six.
Regards Dick.

Greetings Tuesday 26th March 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM Pushbutton Blade: Treet Carbon Brush: Semogue OC Boar Soap: Speick grated into a container Aftershave: Floid Balm First try with these blades very kindly given to me by a member of another forum (no carbon SE blades are available in the UK) and first impressions are all good, quite smooth and very sharp, no tugging. A really good shave, I'll use the blade to it's end to see how many shaves I get. I don't know if they are any different from the GEM Blue star carbon, I find it is hard to hold in your memory what a blade is like unless it is extremely good or extremely bad. Regards Dick.

26 March 2013Pre: Proraso Crema Pre BarbaRazor: GEM OCMM Brush: Wet Shaving Products -- Monarch SuperFine Soap: Martin de Candre - Savon À Raser (55)AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask
My current mood finds me preferring the OCMM over the other 2 razors in my top 3; the Streamline & Cobra. The OCMM boasts the best twist-to-open (TTO) mechanism ever made & I love the handle; perfect length & balance.

I have been remiss with my posting. I am on vacation for the week and have not shaved much.
Tuesday morning. Had to be up early to drive Mom into town.
OCMM PAL Ever Ready 140 Colgate Barbershop soap WH Brute Revolution
3 days of beard dissapeared in a flash. Gotta love this razor and a carbon steel PAL. Whoot!!!!

Tuesday 3/26
Razor: Schick injector E Blade Personna (or maybe NOS US Schick?) Brush: VDH Pure Badger Lather: Godrej Menthol Mist cream Post: Alum, Lucido, unrefined Shea Butter
Results: Another super close, BBS shave! I'm taking it as a challenge to complete a shave with this razor without blood... Today was not that day (but almost!). I don't get what's different between this razor and all of my G models... I will persevere!

Greetings
Wednesday 27th March 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM 1912 Damaskeene Blade Treet Carbon Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Soap: Palmolive Stick grated into a container Aftershave: RSC Balm
Second shave with the Treet blade and this shave felt a little 'tuggy', a perfect shave in terms of closeness but my face feels a little tender because of all the touching up required. I will try a third shave tomorrow but fear the blade may be finished.
Regards Dick.

27 March 2013Pre: Proraso Crema Pre BarbaRazor: Rhodium GEM OCMM Brush: Elite7 Scarlett + WSP HMW 23/50 Soap: Martin de Candre - Savon À Raser (56)AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask My Shiny was calling out to be used this morning. I honestly can't remember why I haven't been using it for every OCMM shave since I got it. I put it in a nice OCMM case I guess because I didn't want to take away from it's beauty. I'm a user though and not a collector so here she is in all of her Rhodium glory. Oh yeah, and the shave was superb too!

Today's shave:
Schick I-2 Hydro-Magic with Schick blade. T&H Lavender cream.
This was my first day in a few weeks with the Hydro-Magic. These post-WW2 razors seem to be much milder than what I'm used to, as my shave was fair but not great--will have to press harder tomorrow. If that doesn't work I'll change blades and see what happens. The most likely problem is that I am used to heavier razors, as I used a Schick G last week and had the same problem.

Wednesday 3/27
Razor: GEM OCMM Blade GEM Stainless coated Brush: Semogue 1305 boar Lather: Godrej Menthol Mist Post: Alum, Lucido, unrefined Shea Butter
Results: Surprisingly just an OK shave. I'm used to better with this razor and blade. I got more irritation than usual too. Maybe it was the 2-days running battle with my E2 injector that primed me. Tomorrow i'm going mild.

I usually go with thinner lather with my I2H-M than what I'd use with my E2 and get smooth effective performance.
