I was shopping at a discount store called Rose's the other day and noticed these. They are the first off brand blades I have seen that say "compare to Gem" on them. It says they have a DuPont Vydax coating. I have gotten two good shaves from one in a 1912. I will report back as I go. At $.50 for 10 blades these could be a good deal.

is the country of manufacture noted on the package?? There is no mention of where they are made. Just that they are distributed by a company out of Los Angeles California.

You said two good shaves so far.....How good?... Are they comparable to the Gem SS's... I mean at .50 cents for 10 they could definitely help rock the stockpile....I'm all ears...lol...

They are Great shaves I think. I want to have a few more people use them and see what they think. If you want to PM me an addy I will send you a few to try. I used a three day blade on a three day growth in a OCMM yesterday. It did a great job. I am not certain yet that it is as smooth a shave as a Pal or Treet. But so far I can not tell the difference. I will say however that I seem to have a cast iron face.

I would love to help in testing these....PM sent...Thanks Have you used the Pal or Treet blades. I tried the Treet Supers and the Gem SS's...Never tried the Pal... I thought the Treets were great, insanely sharp...You can't get them here in Turkey so I save them like a great cigar or single-malt for speciaL occasions or when I want to reward myself... with an effective anti-rust regime, I can get 4 or 5 great shaves... The Gem SS's while maybe not as finely honed give me between 7-10 great shaves...depending on the razor...maybe 14... Because of the longevity factors these beauties have become my 'bread & butter' blade. So far I have never gotten a bad blade like I used to get all the time with DE's...I plan on coming back Stateside towards the end of February...At which time, putting together a Shavapolypse Stockpile is at the top of my 'to do' list...

PM sent. Would like to help the group know more about how these work.
Have tried the Gem SS blades, Treet and CVS brand so far. Nice shaves from the Gem and CVS, have to try the Treet again.

There we go. I will get those out Monday.
I got a great 5th shave today from this blade. I am going to put it aside for a bit and try out another new one. See how it goes.
