Never seen that razor before RM.
As luck would have it, I did shave with my 1911 LC yesterday. TP PTFE blade, cella soap, simpson commodore x2 best badger brush, royal bay rhum at the end.

Saturday morning: Hot towel face prep TOBS Almond cream (Thanks Gary!) Semogue 610 boar 1906 EverReady Lather Catcher GEM SS ptfe (6) bay rum Yet another great shave! I hope I never get tired of writing that. A gent on another forum was kind enough to send a sample of TOBS Almond for me to compare to Vitos soft Italian soap and P.160. Vitos I've been using every day for the past 1 1/2 months trying to use it up, today was the TOBS almonds turn. TOBS was very creamy in the tub as you would expect. It lathered great, but the scent while very almondy in the tub, gained an almost chemical scent as it got diluted down in the lather. I couldn't place the scent, neither could my wife. Maybe it was my nose this morning. I'll have other lathers with it, so I'll revisit this issue. I have no complaints with the lather at all. When soaps get this good I have a difficult time saying one is better than another. I have no major complaints with the Vitos or the TOBS. The TOBS is definitely a top notch performer. Maybe there is one thing I can also add about the TOBS... as most creams are, at least for me, it lathered in a heartbeat, but I get that with all creams vs soaps. For me slow lathering isn't an issue becasue I want my face lathering to take a few minutes, but for others it might be meaningful. Edit: Whoops, forgot the pic.

Sunday morning:
p.160 SIS (face lather being the only prep) handcrafted badger brush 1906 EverReady LC GEM SS ptfe (7) bay rum
Today shave was to compare p.160 to TOBS Almond cream. Using Vitos as I have been for the past 1 1/2 months steady (to use it up) has also given me an opportunity to compare the p.160 to it. P.160 is a much better soap IMO. I write "much better" because for me to notice a difference between 2 high end soaps there really must be a difference. P.160 has more of everything; denser, slicker, better scent, it's just better. I also think it's better than the TOBS, but to compare them one really needs a more scientific study than I can apply to this. One would need specific amounts of soap solids, ect. . That's beyond my capability. I definitely liked the scent of p.160 over the TOBS. Choose any of the 3 almonds I've used in as many days and you can't go wrong, since the differences are small, except for scent. P.160 definitely has more almond scent. P.160 almost smells good enough to eat, so does the TOBS until it's lathered. (I'll check that again tomorrow) Vitos smells good, but the scent is faint compared to the others, and lathered it's almost gone.

Gents, does the lather catcher love extend to small lather catchers as well?

Gents, does the lather catcher love extend to small lather catchers as well? The small lather catcher is not a true lather catcher to me. It shaves nowhere near the same. Ymmv

Monday Morning.. nothing special as my work week started Saturday.
1911 Gem Junior PAL Super Ever Ready 650PB Vintage Badger Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet SC Lilac Vegital
Wonderful Shave cream thanks Nate for the sample. The scent of this stuff is outstanding. The PAL Super is getting on to 4 shaves but still going great. As I type this before heading out to work the Lilac Vegital is drying down nicely. Great start to the day. Kinda sucks not to be me this morning.

Same razor (only LC I own), same blade (I'm cheap like that). Switching the Cella for MWF, and the simpson badger for the semogue 1305. Probably follow up with some GB Bowling Green cologne as the mrs liked it last time

I should have warned you that this is a side effect of the Penhaligon's Shave Creams. I have heard that Penhaligon's is a very nice product. It is pretty pricey though isn't it?? What stores carry it?

What stores carry it? Yea, its a wee bit more expensive than some other English Creams, also depending on whether you opt for a glass jar (about $50) or a plastic tube ($40) both contain the same amount of cream (150 ml, I think). With how many other things I currently have on my shelf right now, the money that was "invested" on these creams will surely last a long long time. But maybe that is the way I look at it so I can buy more creams. I got mine from Vintage Blades. There are others, they just aren't coming to mind right now, Royalshave I think also carries them.

Today I had a chance to break out a different LC. Inspired by ShadowsDad I broke out my 1906 Ever-Ready safety razor. This razor was sold with a tubular one piece handle and strop attachment. The attachment is typically left in for shaving and the handle unthreaded from the frame only for stropping. 1906 Ever-Ready Safety Pella PTFE Omega Pro Boar Truefitt & Hill puck 1906 Ever-Ready Safety Razor
