This whole page is NSFW material top to bottom! hehe Great gear all around. I've been on the unmentionable side of shaving but it I'll be back shortly. Until then I'll be drooling my keyboard for a few more days. Yup lotta pinup material here.

Late post of my shave this morning. Great lather from Long Rifle whipped up by the JR Boar. No whiskers were left over after the Personna Injector was given 2 passes to do it's work. Stetson is always a nice finish to a shave.

Tue 9th Jan RazoRock Syn. 24mm Stirling Baker Street PAL Injecto-Matic Schick Proline [ 2 ] Tuff Green A/S Lotion Today used one of my favourite Injectors, the PAL Injecto-Matic the performance of which is enhanced by use of a Proline blade. Many find this Razor on the harsh side, but with this blade it becomes quite smooth without losing its efficiency. I was maybe a bit lazy as I did not get my usual PAL ultra close finish.

SOTD January 10, 2018 Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Treet Razor: GEM G-Bar Brush: JR #41 black badger Soap: Williams Post: Witch hazel, Barbasol Pacific Rush aftershave WTG, touch up It's been a while since I've used Williams. Nice, stable lather was created and it worked just great. Could have used a touch more water when building and face lathering but it turned out just fine. The Treet carbon blade (thanks Fuzzy!) was terrific and all came together quite well. Have a great day!

Williams Wednesday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave Williams B-400 by Tom Heljestrand Henckels Wedge CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Vanilla I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the B-400 badger brush. I did two passes with the Heljestrand Razor with a Henckels wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I have forgotten to mention that these blades are also noisy. It sounds like buttering toast. After cleaning, I did ten cycles on each of the sharpening sides and twenty-five on the strop side of the Allegro. It doesn't take long to maintain the blade.

SOTD January 10th Schick E2 Prototype Schick Proline B-20 JR #134 (Frigate Class 24mm) Jeeves Of Hudson Street 'Bay Rum' Nivea sensitive PSB Second shave on the E2 and Proline was really rough. This may be too much blade for this razor or I may have let the angle waiver too much. The Jeeves turned into an amazingly slick super goop with the help of my Jayaruh #134. Lots of hot spots after the shave so I went with some Nivea Sensitive to cool them down. Have a great day my friends!

Well, as you may have noticed, 2017 was a bit hectic. 18 countries in 12 months - it was slightly less fun than it sounds. Nevertheless, I persisted. So, holidays in Tuscany. If you have never been there, you might want to put it on your list of places to go. Beautiful scenery, excellent food, and of course wonderful people. Simply nice. A subtle, but decisive, change to the travel setup. I've replaced the GEM Pushbutton with a Schick Model L. For the chuckles: goo.gl/a5Js1GThat is arguably the ugliest razor ever made outside the world of current "custom" cut-throat razors. But it delivers. Spectacularly so. If you get the chance, try one (most Schick injectors can be had for under$5 on eBay, and blades should be found at Walgreens, but also online for little money). The rest of the setup remains static: Meißner Tremonia Mint Ice Menthol, and a Frank Shaving synthetic.

Williams Wednesday Vintage Menthol Vintage cool. In more ways then one.

Perle Williams Wednesday Well my new Perle Wedge is by far my mildest Wedge. I bit disappointed by that fact. I will give it a few more shaves and see if I warm up to it. I hope it is my fault to tell the truth. It is a beautiful razor. Have a great rest of the week. Tom

When I was blasting through my 20's, the L type was my go to....They were selling them everywhere then, so when traveling I'd pick one up here and there cause I was always leaving one here and there....I was touring with bands for most of that decade....and the L type was one normal friend I could count on every day....Never even thought of deviating...at least when it came to razors...
