SOTD January 8th Schick E2 Prototype Schick Proline B-20 Stirling Mountain Man Stirling Boar First shave with the Prototype E2 and the Schick Proline B-20. This razor is one aggressive devil, it has as much blade feel as my Type F and Pal Injecto-Matic if not more! The Proline was very sharp and had no problems handling my 3 days of growth. The Stirling boar did a fantastic job of whipping up a great, slick Stirling Mountain Man lather and after 3 passes I am smoooooth! Have a great day my friends!

Menthol Monday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave Williams B-400 by Tom Heljestrand Henckels Wedge CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Vanilla I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Proraso Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the B-400 badger brush. I did two passes with the Heljestrand Razor with a Henckels wedge blade. This razor has a long handle and is on the heavy side. It requires a light touch. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave with no blood. That is always a plus. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I cleaned everything up with hot water and dried it off. Then I stropped the blade with the Allegro sharpening system and reassembled the razor. I may have said this before, but it is more like shaving with a straight on a stick. I thought while shaving, "I wonder what it would be like to shave only with this system for a year or so?" I'm still wondering. HA!

Mon 8th January Omega 11126 boar Cyril Salter Solid soap 100g Schick Type O Clone Schick Proline [ 5 ] Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion After a good Shave yesterday, decided to continue Injector Rotation.Chose the O clone, which is nicely built and finished and according to owners of the real thing, performs as well as the original. To date I have only used it with a single blade rather than the Twin it was designed for. The Shave was like previous ones, very smooth and comfortable with an excellent close all round finish. Probably delivers a better shave than modern Schicks [ i onwards] using a single blade. Looking forward to using it with a Twin, the problem is that these blades seems want to go on.

Pre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: 25mm Synthetic, Maseto Shaving(MS) Soap: Arko/Williams mix, Homemade Stick Razor: The General, SS, Colonial Razors Blade: Kai Pink (9) Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse and Clubman Aftershave Photo: No Photo at This Time
I got the bathroom all demo'ed. Now a family friend is doing the work of putting it all back together again. Until then I am shaving with just a couple of razors and the Arko/Williams mix shave stick. The General gave another superb BBS two pass shave today.

Tabac Tuesday's ShaveProraso Pre-Shave Tabac Shaving Soap Henckels Rapide Henckels Wedge CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Vanilla I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the B-400 badger brush. I did two passes with the Henckels Rapide Razor with a Henckels wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... This was the third shave with a wedge and my first with the Henckels Rapide. It was by far the best yet, also. I got a very close, easy shave. After the shave I cleaned up and then refreshed the blade with the Allegro. I did 15 cycles on the sharpening side and 25 cycles on the strop.

Tuesday 9th January Yaqi Sagrada Familia Wickham 1912 - Classic 24 Giles Scuttle Rocnel SE-P O/C ½ Shark Stainless #1 Alum Wash Rose of Bulgaria AS Lacura Moisturiser G.Bellini Essence Dark Blue EDP My opinion that tallow soaps cannot be bettered for slickness no longer exists since my exposure to this 1912 formula. And the scent on this Classic 24 is glorious.

Damaskeene. Just great, two pass + BBS. Will a new Starling outperform these old blade holders?? Consider me very skeptical.
