All the Schicks made in Canada were E types. Even after Eversharp bought Schick. THE Canadian E types were made well into the '50's while the US switched to the G type after WWII...So a Canadian E type with a G type handle is not unusual. The Canadian Types are Great Shavers...Enjoy every stroke!!! Wow, thanks for the info, razor says Shick and key says everywhere. It's a bit more aggressive than my e2 with the 2 patent numbers. Have another Canadian e2 with butterscotch handle on its way. Gotta thank Fuzzy for pointing me toward the e2.. I reach for it a lot when I need to mow down and ger e.g. smooth . The photos for me are a bit Fuzzy when I make them larger...So I can't tell if they are of an E3 or E4.....OK...I can now make out the spring ears, so it's not an E4... So it's an E2 or E3....Either way. I'm sure it's a great shaver! I think Fuzzy has an E2 that is like that! But its funny about these old Schicks...they can be very aggressive but very smooth at the same time...Thats a balance most razor co.'s could never achieve.

The case it came in is half black, half blue. Head is identical to my e2 with side flaps on spring and grooves. The spring latch matches my g1. Handle is off white seamed plastic by the look of it. It's a mystery to me.

It's a mystery to me. Some of the Canadian E's had plastic handles...Shoot, some of the US E's that were WWII military issue and right after the War had plastic handles too...Although the US Schick Injectors after the War were really Eversharp...There was an almost 2 year agreement with the change over. Although those Schicks had the 2 pat'd numbers on them like the G's would. But the Canadian Schicks are real E's..all the way into the '50's. But in any case...The Schicks and the Eversharps were all really GREAT shavers..Thats the truth! And all the Canadian Schicks were great! There are subtle and not so subtle differences between year models. Generally the more modern ones are milder. Except the last Canadian E4-5s were the most aggressive, lol! See now you have opened a Pandora's box and you are going to have to get one of each generation...lmao!

Do you suppose they were built with leftover parts ?

Do you suppose they were built with leftover parts ? That is a point of contension...But I agree with Billy Fergie, that there was no "left over" parts switching around. I think EVERTHING with Schick was done very intentionally and with patents. Billy has written extensively about that...and he documents the changes. No...Schick and Eversharp were different than everybody else about that business. And you are so right...It is very interesting! Opps...looks like we've hijacked the SOTD thread...lmao.....You should start a thread about your razor...and everyone can chime in with their knowledge and experience...

Im sure Aaron or Fuzzy will take care of that when one of them sees it . Lol.
