Fri 21st Dec Cyril Salter/ Maseto Extra Dense 2 Band Mitchell's Wool Fat Ever Ready Streamline Gem S/S [ 1 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion My first run out with this Gifted Brush [ re knotted by a friend ]. I used the MWF to test it out, and it had no problems getting soap for a good lather. However, I had to revisit the soap a couple of times as the brush being new is very thirsty. I like the length of the handle which has been weighted with a couple of coins. Very nice face feel and plenty of back bone. The Shave was as I expected from a Streamline with a fresh blade , very smooth and efficient and I had no problems getting an ultra close finish.

December 22: Decided to "chase the baby" -- which when you use a Micromatic, it's like chasing a bicycle with a rocket....no contest. Wishing you all great shaves!!! Razor: Micromatic with a Treet blade (I think shave 4, maybe shave 5 -- still very sharp) Brush: Yaqi Mew Brown Soap: Men's Shaving Co. Bay Rum A/S: Krampert's Finest Frostbite -- I think I may be getting addicted to menthol, or at the very least, Frostbite

Sat 22nd Dec Jayaruh No67 Vitos Super Red King Cobra Kai Captain Mild Pink [ 1 ] Alcolado Glacial A/S Splash Still getting to know the KC , and today went back to the original handle rather than the longer Kalyon. Also I made a change of Blade using a Kai CTM Pink [ what a long winded title ] instead of a Proline. I liked the shorter handle and the Razor / Blade combo was smooth but also effective. I was very pleased with the quality of the Shave, apart from the lower jawline bit that area soften a problem with most Razors that I use.

SE Sunday's ShaveCold Water Wash L'Occitane Shaving Soap Jayaruh #2 Superior Original Gem Cutlery SE CWR Florida Water My prep was just a cold water rinse. The L'Occitane Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 brush. I did two passes with the Superior Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sun 23rd Dec RazoRock Syn 24mm P & B Pall Mall ATT SE-G Gem S/S [ 2 ] Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion This is about the 6th Shave with this Razor since the base plate has been modified. Though the Razor is still quite mild it does work, but total shave time is a bit longer than with other Razors. I allowed that extra time and by doing the necessary polishing up work and was rewarded a good quality all round finish. This Razor no longer has to stay in a drawer.
