Menthol Monday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Kiss My Face Jayaruh #331 Boar Enders Speed Shaver Enders Speed Blade CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Kiss My Face Shave Cream face lathered very easily with Jayaruh #331 Boar brush and had a very nice minty coolness. The Enders razor loads very easily by pushing the blade in from the back and getting a little click. I did two passes with the Enders Speed Shaver razor with the Enders Speed Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. The Rub gives an immediate freezing coolness followed by a long-lasting coolness. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... This 60+ year old blade was a bit tuggy. I did a belly strop after the shave. I will see how it does tomorrow. I may end up slipping a Schick Proline in on top of it later.

My head is now spinning with fragrance ideas for future experimentation. Happy start of the week to all.

OC Dammy. First shave with this guy, mild but effective as the consensus seems to be. Easier handling than some and overall a great shave. Soap (My Father's Face #2? Mango-Lemongrass) was one of a series i made three years ago and it's aged phenomenally well. No idea of the formula at this point. Hate when that happens. H/T to Tom for the Dammy. Attachments:

Still on the learning curve. I read from a lot of people that they don't need other razor after having acquired the Ever-Ready SE, and while I have many in my den that I love, suddenly I recognized I have some that got out of rotation for good. I must confess, that for me, it matters a lot how these razors and other pieces of the gear look, if not equally to their performance, but close. Shooting and retouching SOTD photos became a similar obsession to daily shaving.

If you like Clubman Special Reserve, try to get hold of a bottle of vintage Old Spice Burley, you'll love it.

Monday Shave Razor: Gem OC Damaskeene Blade: Star Vintage ( honed) Soap: Jeeves Bay Rum Brush: Rubberset 3 AS: VIBR Tonight I went with my OC and a Vintage Star Blade freshened up on a new to me Stropping device. Knowing the OC delivers a mild but efficient shave. I chose this for the blade test. What can I say, the Star blade delivered that old school feel. Mellow feel and no after burn. Vintage blades are awesome to use in the old razors. If only for the nostalgia. New blades offer a superior shave if that is all you are looking for. If you are looking for the old time feeling. I say go for a Vintage blade every now and then. I do have a great face rubbing smooth shave and smell great. Have a safe and happy week my friends. Tom
