Todays Shave brought out an old "favorite" who perform quite admirably! Now I remember why I was smitten with her in the first place!

SE Sunday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Arko Extra Performance The Brush B-3 by Tom Superior Lather Catcher Vintage Gem Cutlery SE CWR Aqua Velva AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Arko Extra Performance Shave Cream face lathered well with The Brush B-3 by Tom. I did two passes with the Superior Lather Catcher razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

5/7/19 Evening Shave MM Clog Pruf GEM Blue Star blade, new Vulfix # 1 Boar Brush Taylors “Mr. Taylors Shaving Cream” CVS Witch Hazel Stewarts Root Beer I had ordered some Blue Stars online and I have to say I wasn’t really happy with them. I used to use them a lot a couple of years ago and they seemed a lot smoother and sharper back then. We’ll see how the next shave goes. I also got some Treets in that I will try next. They have been my favorite SE carbon blade. Hopefully they are just as good as the last time I used them. For quite some time my soap/cream inventory had dwindled down to just Williams. I held off buying anything until I went to the BSS, figuring I’d get some samples to try. Well, for the last few days I have been using up the artisan soap samples I picked got there. Now folks, they were nice and performed well but at this point I think I’ll stick to the old stuff. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that artisan soaps and creams, it’s all wonderful stuff. I just prefer the scents and performance of all the old staples. There are a couple of artisan brands that were recommended to me that I will try when I get around to it, but in the meantime its back to basics for me. I guess no new tricks for this old dog. Anyway I went to Rubinov’s to get some Palmolive but they were out so I got some Taylors. It’s kind of heavy for summer but it will do till I round of some cooler Palmolive. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I didn’t splash the root beer on my face; it was drunk down after the rinse. Check out Stirling soaps. Atrisan soaps are pretty much all the same anyway.
