Had a great shave today with a first time razor, blade and soap. The razor an Ever-Ready 1914 LLC the blade a Treet I'm assuming they are carbon steel and the soap Tabac. I really like this razor especially the audio feedback. The soap definitely has a different but pleasant scent. The blade was switched out for a Gem SS PTFE mid shave. Not a bad blad but i think it will be better in a different razor. I also used an unmentionable a little just to stay in practice.

SE Sunday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Palmolive Shave Cream Jayaruh #41 Henckels Rapide CVS CS SE CWR Aqua Velva Musk My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Palmolive Shave Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #41 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... Beautiful razor. I hope to find one I can afford. I love the way they look and hear they shave quite well.

Phoenix & Beau | Whitechapel Leo Frilot Tru-Stone Hallows | AP Shave Co. SilkSmoke 28mm Durham-Enders | Enders Speed Shaver | Schick Proline B-20 Barrister and Mann | Hallows Another beautiful razor and photo. I didn't realize the red was also somewhat translucent. I haven't seen any of the ones with the chrome striped handle on person. I have the solid black handle in the Speed razor and speed shaver. They are both great razors.

Sun 17th Nov. Stirling Syn.30mm Stirling Baker Street Schick "O" Clone Schick Twin- Japan [ 3 ] Alcolado Glacial A/S Splash I chose to use a Sunday Morning favourite today as out officiating later on. I find that by doing the initial clearance phase with short strokes the worst of the stubble is efficiently removed. Then without any problems it is very easy to work away to attain a Top Notch Finish. This may well be a Cloned Razor but for me when fitted with a Twin blade it shaves very well.

The red, green, and yellow all have some degree of translucency. This, again, supports my theory that these are Catalin and not Bakelite. (I can't smell them, either). However, the colorfastness seems to refute that theory, but while mine are rather bright specimens, I've seen many that are not. I'm not an expert on the subject, but I believe that while UV light plays a factor, I think ambient temperature and time are the true enemies of the bright colors of Catalin. Maybe mine were stored away in cool dark places before I got them. The polymer polish I use certainly made them pop, but it didn't reverse the years. It also has UV protectors in it. These were either rarely used, or well taken care of.[/span]
[/div]

But the Red and the Yellow ones are spectacular. I really hope to own at least one of the two some day. They seem to be quite rare though. For now at least I get to enjoy the beautiful pictures of them that you and others share.

18/11/2019 Pre: Hot Shower Brush: Alpha Titanium Outlaw G4 Soap: Arran Machrie Razor: XXXX Blade: XXX XXX Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Bay Rum Astringent Balm: Barts Balm Lime AS lotion, Arran Machrie Balm Aftershave: Arran Machrie Another nice shave with the Unmentionable in training. A very nice lather from the Arran soap. I did get a couple of "skips" from the razor during the WTG pass long strokes, i got away with it apart from the tiniest of nicks on the side of my chin - Blade feel and poor angle/technique i think? A very nice post shave. Everything working pretty well together. BBS, Feeling and smelling good only rating the shave 4.9/5 due to the nick. Have a great Day All.
