Friday NOvember 22 No Repeat (mostly) NOvember. No repeats so far except for scuttle, blades, and alum. Up today, one of my Heljestrand lather catchers with a Heljestrand wedge blade. Bowl/Scuttle - GP12 Soap - Barristers Reserve Cool Brush - ThatDarnRob 26mm Blade - CV Heljestrand Wedge (3) Razor - CV Heljestrand lather catcher Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Barristers Reserve Cool A/S Shave rating 4.5 of 5 It was a tale of two passes. Didn't shave yesterday so shaving on 2 days growth. First pass WTG felt like I was pulling each whisker out. Thought I would have to stop and switch razors and blades. Finished the first pass and my face still felt like 60 grit sandpaper. I don't know why but decided to keep using razor and blade for 2nd pass. Relathered and did 2nd pass ATG and what a difference. This pass was smooth and everything was cut except my face. Finished the 2 passes DFS+. Maybe the blade could use a touch up on the 20k hone but it really shouldn't after 3 shaves. Anyway, love the scent of this soap and A/S but for some reason, I don't use it much. I thought the alum would be vocal but it was surprisingly silent. As noted, the A/S smells nice. Happy NOvember and great shaves everyone.

23/11/2019 Pre: Pears Transparent Original Brush: Vintage Culmak Plus Best Badger 1950's Soap: Vintage Cussons 1950's shave cream Razor: Ever Ready HFT-E Bar Blade: GEM PTFE (7) Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Astringent Balm: Tabac Original Aftershave: Tabac Original What a wonderful way to start the day. A fantastic 3 pass shave today, simply a joy. The HFT giving plenty of feedback removing any trace of stubble with comfortable ease. This little Culmak brush is a favourite of mine and using it with the vintage shave cream just makes me smile. I gave him a good shampoo and rinse after the shave and he will be be used again this week. These Vintage 1912 type SE razors just seem to be so natural for my shaving technique and they work so well for me. I am BBS, Comfortable and smelling very Kojak I hope your SOTD is as enjoyable as mine was. Have a great day All.

Saturday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Mitchell's Wool Fat Jayaruh #313 Eversharp G Personna CWR Cella After Shave My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Eversharp G razor with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This was my first use of both razors and the new boar brush I just finished making the other day. Razor #1 Henkels Rapide with carbon blade and wedge adapter. Razor #2 Unmentionable Brush Gaboon ebony and maple with 28mm boar. Soap Tabac Aftershave witch hazel splash Very close comfortabl shave I think I prefer SS blades but I like carbons too. These are two great razors and the Henkels is particularly good for the back of the neck cleanup with its wonderfully long handle. Beautiful brush. The Henckels looks right at home in that picture. Thank you. The brush took me far to long to complete but I'm happy with the results. I'll take good care of the Henkels. I hope to enjoy it for many years.

Saturday 23rd November Yaqi Moka Express - Signature Soaps Hibernia - Schick G1 - Schick Proline №5 - Alum - Speick A/S - Aloe Vera Gel Very pleased with Hibernia. First of the two generous samples gifted by Brian of Signature Soaps. It has very pleasing citrus scent. Plus it was very easy to build a lather on the face. Slickness and residual slip was also top notch. Made for a great shave with the G1.
