Williams WednesdayPre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: 24mm Silvertip Frank Shaving (FS) Soap: WilliamsRazor: Open Comb GEM Damaskeene 1912 Blade: PAL (2) Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse, OSMA Alum block and Tai Winds Aftershave, Avon Big Whistle Decanter Photo:  The 1912 GEM Damaskeene is one of those razors that every wet shaver should have in their den. They don't necessarily have to have it in rotation, but should shave with it at least once. It was a Dammy that made me forsake all those other unmentionable type razors and just use SE's.

 Williams Wednesday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave Williams Frank Shaving Badger Schick J Golden 500 Personna CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Lucky Tiger I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. I did two passes with the Schick J Golden 500 with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I do find the handle of the 500 to be too long. I found myself holding the razor by the top half. I am thinking of maybe taking off two inches. |

27.12.2017 Maseto Shaving Silvertip 30mm Barrister&Mann Bay Rum Ever Ready Lather Catcher 1904-1911 GEM SS PTFE Coated Lucky Tiger Face Tonic ASB D’Artesão Bergamota&Neroli  What a great shave this century old Ever Ready gives! It always amazes me how many wars, world cataclysms, and owners these marvelous pieces of shaving gear went through to reach us almost untouched to keep performing as they do... the GEM blade and the B&M soap were also part of the equation but this LC is a fantastic shaving tool for sure. Thanks fuzzy for enabling me to hunt for one of these. The G bar will be next... or a Streamline if I get lucky  |

Wed 27th Dec Omega 11126boar L`Occitane cade soap PAL Injecto-Matic de luxe Schick Proline [ 2 ] Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion The use of the AC blade in the PAL is a good move, as it calms it down a lot. The Shave is now quite smooth yet still very efficient. The Finished Shave is nice and close all round, those who have found the PAL a bit harsh before,should try this blade. Have just ordered another 3 packs.  |

Thursday 28th December Zenith 506U TS Truefitt & Hill West Indian Limes cream Giles Scuttle Stainless Steel General Feather Pro #2 Alum Wash Selin Lemon Cologne Gillette Pro 3in1 Balm  Nothing like a warmed lather on a cold morning.  Thursday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap Frank Shaving Badger Schick J Golden 500 (Shortified) Personna CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Lucky Tiger I took the plunge and shortified my Schick 500. It was just too long for me. I may shortify it a bit more, but we will see how this goes. I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. I did two passes with the Schick J Golden 500 with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... |

Last night's shave with my MINT Schick Type G8 injector - I got this razor with the DUMMY Blade and its only seen around a dozen shaves. Well today was the second shave with the simply amazing SCHICK PROLINE B Blade!!! man what a shave!!! it just sliced the whiskers and it felt and sounded like i was buttering my Toast - The PROLINE's for me are insanely sharp! I find it shaves like my 1970's Schick Plus Platinums or even the Super Chromium - but the proline is smoother than the super Chromium.... Also - once again the BOAR proves to rule my bath room - I own synthetics and dont hate them - there great oversized make up brushes - my daughters all tell me that :-) the BOAR - semogue 2000 is very HAPPY - just look at him - he is laughing at all the other brushes -->   |
