SE Sunday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave Soap Commander Renewal Frank Shaving Badger Gem 1911 Lather Catcher Original Gem Cutlery SE CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Lucky Tiger I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Soap Commander Renewal Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

31.12.2017 Last 2017 Shave For the last 2017 shave I had to choose my most beautiful and efficient piece of shaving gear, the Ever Ready LC. I was also longing for a chilly shave to wake me up and chose this extra mentholated Stirling soap and paired it with the Myrsol Emulsion and an after shave balm also with arctic menthol levels. Happy New Year you all!

New Year Eve's Shave 2017/18 This could very well be the Best Shave Of My Life....I'm in Shock!....I've been getting some incredibly good shaves lately I have to admit....But today I dropped a Pro-Line B-20 in this 1941 New Improved Schick Injector. I lathered up with Barbasol Original and kept the injectors head flat on my face...2 Passes later I had a BBS....I did one more ATG pass because it felt too good to stop....Then I had the best BBS of my life!!!! What to do now...Well deliver a healthy splash of Aqua Velva Ice Blue....What Else?!!!! Thats it....as long as I can get these Pro-Lines...this is the only razor I should ever lust after...Case Closed... Disclaimer...Don't listen to the man!!! He just got the best shave of his life and he's "Out of His Head"!!!! LMAO! WHEW! HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY!!!

Sat 30th Dec Omega 11126 boar Blues Soap Schick Type F Schick Proline [ 2] Pitralon Original A/S Lotion My Shaves of the last week have been quite spartan, as I have not needed the Alum as all shaves very comfortable. Today was no exception with the Type F, which IMHO is the best looking keyed Schick and handles beautifully during a Shave. The downside for me is that while it reduces initial whisker growth well, it is quite mild and I find it hard to get an ultra close finish, such as that attained with the E2 yesterday. View AttachmentBoy I wouldn't mind a type F. Those things look so cool

So after pondering all day. I went with my favorite SE for my final shave of the year. Razor: The New Ever Ready 1909 Blade: Gem Carbon Soap: Williams Luxury soap AS: Aqua Velva Finished off the year with a fantastic shave. I have only used a vintage blade in this bad boy until today. With a modern Carbon blade this is by FAR!!! my most aggressive SE. A VERY light touch and I was rewarded with a BBS to finish off the year. May you all have a wonderful New Year.

31 December New Years EvePre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: 24mm Silvertip Frank Shaving (FS) Soap: Menthol Williams w/ TSD M Bomb Razor: Superior 1900 Handle: jayaruh Reproduction Blade: PAL (11) Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse, OSMA Alum block and Bay Rum Aftershave, Arthur N. Christy & Co. Photo: Now today was not Menthol Monday nor was it Williams Wednesday. What it was though was the last day of 2017. As a nod to 2017 I decided to shave with all of my oldest shaving equipment. That is all except for the brush, I don't have any vintage brushes. I started off with a cake of Menthol Williams. Which I believe is the oldest soap I have. The last time I used it, the menthol was no longer noticeable so I had ordered some M Bomb from the TSD Shop. I placed about a half dozen drops on top of the cake before loading the brush. The lather was so menthol-y, it froze my face off. Even 15 minutes after the shave I was still numb. The oldest razor I believe I have is the Superior 1900. Unfortunately all of my vintage blades are off at the Doctors office so I paired the razor with a modern PAL blade. This pairing made a very smooth three pass shave. I was left with a frozen DFS. I finished off the shave with a splash from a bottle of Bay Rum by Arthur N. Christy & Co. This little gem I found at an antique shop when the Wife and I went on a trip out of town. The only thing I have found on or the company was advertisement from the company at the beginning of the 20 Century for door to door salesman. The aftershave is a very light Bay Rum. It is not clove heavy like some of the newer Bay Rums of today. The only problem is I have to make the bottle last the next 50 years.

First off let me say how great it is to see all the Lather Catcher love going on in here. Most of them are molested but......oh well. That is a beautiful Schick birdlives wait on the best ever tag until you run a lather catcher around the ole mug. On to today. I woke up late for church. The 1913 ER was ready with a treer blade. This SuperMax is a great Bulgarian cream. I still love my Fuller/AOS badger. No worries with the Clubman Musk. Wonderful shave blasted through.

Sun 31st December Omega 10005 boar Haslinger Honig soap Schick E2 [ Canada ] Schick Proline [ 2 ] Tuff Green A/S lotion My second Shave with this E2, which proved my initial reactions were spot on.Shaving with this Razor is incredible , so smooth and yet ultra close without needing to work at it. As a dedicated single blade keyed Injector it knocks the PALs off the top spot for me. As I am using an AC Blade in it, I am minded to think it gives the modern AC/SE Razors a run for their money and it is certainly more forgiving. This is a Razor I will reach for when I need a Shave Prior to a Special Occasion.
