December 30th
Brush: TurnNShave 25mm custom brush
Razor: Gem 1912
Blade: Gem Blue Star carbon blade
Soap: Mitchells Woolf Fat infused with dragons blood/opium type
Aftershave: Alum Block followed by Nivea Sensitive
For a first time carbon blade use, I really likes it! It seems to work better for me than the stainless steel thus far. Taking care to dry the blade off and keeping it from rusting to early. Great face shave!

30 DecemberPre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: 24mm Silvertip Frank Shaving (FS) Soap: Tobacco, Dirty Deeds Soap Razor: The General, Stainless Steel, Colonial Razors Handle: RazoRock Halo Ring Aluminium Blade: Kai Pink (6) Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse, OSMA Alum block and Virgin Island Bay Rum Aftershave, Clubman Photo:  I switched out the handle on the SS General for the handle that came on my RazoRock Black Hawk. It makes the razor very top heavy. Still though, it delivered a DAMN FINE BABY BUTT SMOOTH three pass shave.

First SOTD post here. Good to be here. Another go with Story Book Soapworks. Whipped up with ease into a super slick and gooey lather. The scent just explodes when lathered. The GEM Junior did exceptional as always. 2 passes left me as smooth as can be.  |

I really like this one Fuzzy has a REAL PROBLEM!!!! with people changing anything that is not stock on razors. I like to push his buttons on that. Modifing a Razor is ok with me, if it gets a person to use it. That being said. If somebody molests rare razors. That bums even me out. I for one love your GEM jr coated like that. It is very classy looking. Tom |

Sat 30th Dec Omega 11126 boar Blues Soap Schick Type F Schick Proline [ 2] Pitralon Original A/S Lotion My Shaves of the last week have been quite spartan, as I have not needed the Alum as all shaves very comfortable. Today was no exception with the Type F, which IMHO is the best looking keyed Schick and handles beautifully during a Shave. The downside for me is that while it reduces initial whisker growth well, it is quite mild and I find it hard to get an ultra close finish, such as that attained with the E2 yesterday.  |
