Thursday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap Frank Shaving Badger Schick J Golden 500 (Shortified) Personna CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Lucky Tiger I took the plunge and shortified my Schick 500. It was just too long for me. I may shortify it a bit more, but we will see how this goes. I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. I did two passes with the Schick J Golden 500 with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... "Handle Vandal" sorry could not resist.

It is the same length as my Schick 66. I find that to be just right.

Last night's shave with my MINT Schick Type G8 injector - I got this razor with the DUMMY Blade and its only seen around a dozen shaves. Well today was the second shave with the simply amazing SCHICK PROLINE B Blade!!! man what a shave!!! it just sliced the whiskers and it felt and sounded like i was buttering my Toast - The PROLINE's for me are insanely sharp! I find it shaves like my 1970's Schick Plus Platinums or even the Super Chromium - but the proline is smoother than the super Chromium.... Also - once again the BOAR proves to rule my bath room - I own synthetics and dont hate them - there great oversized make up brushes - my daughters all tell me that :-) the BOAR - semogue 2000 is very HAPPY - just look at him - he is laughing at all the other brushes --> Wow...awesome just awesome.

I am going to post more on this razor and the shave video in afew. But here it is. 1900ish Superior. I was able to shave with the wedge blade...yesssssss. It was outstanding. This is a beautiful razor complete with stropping handle. Yes yes yes yes yes. Nothing beats a big ole boar brush and the Colgate Cup soap was great too as usual.

Thur 28th Dec Omega 11137 boar Lea Classic soap Schick N1 Schick Proline [ 2 ] Lea Classic A/S Lotion Continuing with the use of Injectors, as they are so easy to use to get good Shaves. Again trying out the Proline in a Razor Specifically designed for use with twin blades. But a single AC blade when used in the N1, delivers a nice close all round finish without fuss.

29 DecemberPre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: Brush X, Horse, GarnerPW Soap: Gravity, Uncle Jon's Shave Soap Razor: The General, Stainless Steel, Colonial Razors Blade: Kai Pink (5) Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse, OSMA Alum block and Wild Country Aftershave, Avon Photo: The SS General come in the mail yesterday, so I HAD to use it today. Just like the black aluminium one the SS one gives an effortless BBS shave. After two passes I am just that, effortlessly BBS. The only negative thing I could say about the razor is that it is heavy. No I mean really heavy. I have the Black Al General that I found to be a little light so I put a SS handle on it. That made it pretty good on weight. Now it may be that I'm just not used to the weight of the razor but I think I will put an aluminium handle on it for the next shave.

12/28/17 -> Last Night's Shave. This was particularly awesome shave! I am still very new to lather Catchers, and only have 2 models. The GEM Junior Bar that i have had a dented handle and it seemed a little to short for me. Well after watching Fuzzy's video with the same razor and the Jayaruh handle that looks like the vintage wooden handles that were sold 100 years ago. Good Ol' Jayaruh contacted me across the street and I got my handle yesterday - amazing work and it fits my fingers perfectly - great work! the metal ring is just perfect... I had a awesome shave last night and at 6 am today still basically BBS. The PAL SUPER is so awesome on the 1st shave. This handle is amazing..

You know, if we continue to boast how great the LC's are, we'll start a run on them. Then it will be harder to find them. Especially with Jim making such great handles for them.

You know that is true --- I found that with injectors - Lucky for me I got most of the ones I wanted - still need a Repeating early model - seems there is "slim pickings " need to tell the folks across the street that the lather catchers are sucky and only dinosaurs would use one...:-)

Just to set the record straight Jims wonderful handles are much much larger then the original. Still great though. Love mine. I think you are right. Glad I have 7 or 8 now. Since I got the Superior I think I am good. You know, if we continue to boast how great the LC's are, we'll start a run on them. Fri 30th December Vulfix 404 mixed Vitos Super Red Schick E2 [ Canadian] Schick Proline [ 1 ] Tuff Red A/S Lotion Todays choice of Razor was very much on the spur of the moment, changed what I was going to use to a new to me E2 [Canada]. I have used the USA version a few times so was careful to select a dependable soap for the job.I envisaged a good Lather would be required. Fitted with an AC blade to calm down the Razor I cautiously started the Shave. After two passes it was obvious that this was a lot different to the US model, smoother than smooth yet still vey effective. In fact this was one of my best ever Shaves with any Injector confined to use of a single blade. It is early days, but some hours on and the quality of the finished Shave, is up there with the best I have attained with Vintage/Modern SE Razors. I am thinking that this Razor could well displace the PALs at the top of my favourites list.
