Menthol Monday's Planned ShaveI will be using twhite 's ER 1909 razor this week. I had planned on using a Gem Blue Star SE blade with the ER 1909, but I just could not get it to work. The spine was too thin. I tried shimming it up with a half spine, but that did not work. It pushed the blade up into the spring and it got stuck. I got it out OK though. So, I am going to use a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE blade instead. Fine Snake Bite Jayaruh #343 Synthetic Ever-Ready 1909 Vintage Gem Cutlery SE Osage Rub

My last two shaves both with the same PAL blade. I have to say it was very noticeable how much smoother the Damakeene OC shaved compared to the Streamline (Ambassador). Great shaves though Happy Easter. I hope nobody saw that!!!

I usually stsrt the blade into the side clips and lay an injector blade ontop, blade facing blade stops.. As I slide the SE blsde forward towards the stops the injector blade slides under the side clips and when the SE blade hits the blsde stops the injector blade back hits the SE blade spine.. A perfect fit...and holds the modern SE GEM Blue Star blade in the 1909 perfectly...

Schick G4 razor Schick blade Omega 10066 boar brush Dandy Shaving Co Mojito SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Daxton A/S
My bride found this SS at a local farmers market this past weekend. Turns out to be a nice product, gave good protection/slickness and is a real face freezer to boot. Very limited availability right now, just the market and one other local location. But my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

I had a great shave today with the ER 1909 with a vintage Gem Cutlery blade. It shows loading the blade and stropping the blade. This is my biggest video production to date.

Wishing you a great time with the 1st incarnation of de Mesquita's Masterpiece, Sir Jay!
