1912 Gem Pella Omega Boar C&E Sandalwood Puck I'm usually too lazy to post my sotds ( ) but, I cracked out a regular old 1912 with fancy handle this morn - and I gotta say - I still love this razor!! (I sorta cheated yesterday with an unmentionable 1904 patent de with a feather, and yikes, little nicks and just no fun. Back to the SEs again - I shall be a good boy!) VIVA LA CENTENARIAN!!!

1912 Gem Gem Blue Star Ever Ready 650PB Acqua Di Parma Shaving Cream 4711 Cologne
Thanks to the Natenabler I have some of the fancier shave creams to try. This was a great shave. The 4711 matched well with the shave cream. After a few more shaves I will work up my thoughts on it.

Tuesday AM:
Vitos SIS Simpson Special best badger Damaskeene GEM SS ptfe (3) bay rum
I know better than this, but whenever I grab the Damaskeene I wonder if the mild feeling razor will give me a great shave. But it does every time, and today was no exception. It's just slightly more effort than one of my agressive razors, but not much more.

1912 Gem Junior Gem SS/PFTE Blade (3) Made-Rite 500 PB Brush Nivea Cream Barbasol Pacific Rush
I couldn't let the 100th anniversary of the Gem 1912 go by without paying homage to this great razor by acquiring one and using it. I picked up a Gem Junior on an auction site about 2 weeks ago but just had my first shave with it this morning. The head was badly bent when I received it in the mail - to the point where I couldn't load a blade. After some effort, I got it bent back and now the blade loads and is aligned perfectly. It cleaned up very nicely and is now gleaming a brilliant gold. My first shave with it was excellent - very smooth and close. Now I know firsthand what all you guys have been raving about.
