I have used my ocmm as a daily many times. I just started using it again this week and I love it. For some reason I find the clogprof to be more difficult to use than the ocmm...weird.
Anyway back in the day , you know about several years ago, I was obsessed with mr guys video about how to use the open comb micromatic. I watched it a hundred times. Couldn't get the razor to work without eating my face.
Turns out I had to practice to use it correctly but I also used the stainless Ted Pella blades and I now know I can't use those. Only carbon blades for me!

I'm using my MMOC as my daily shaver at the moment. I'm not finding that it requires rest days and/or causes any irritation, or results in blood-letting etc. It is a beautifully smooth and efficient stubble-killing machine! Oh and it looks bloody cool and is seriously well designed to boot!

We could probably just say MM,... the other two are Clog-Pruf and bullet tip. The original Micromatic only came open comb.

That is according to the packaging and Waits. You are correct that it would be correct to call the OC just a Micromatic as that is the only name used for it. I might actually start doing that. Thanks for the ideal. Rebel indeed.

I agree that they were all part of the Micromatic family, and yes, the correct name for the bullet tip is Flying Wing, but you seldom see MMCP, or MMFW. (With or without the Magic Eye.) Somewhere along the way someone thought it was cool to type "MMOC" or "OCMM", probably at B&B. (And I think it was originally OCMM and got turned around at some point.) Also, the original Micromatic was an open comb, the rest of the family came later.
Think military nomenclature, the original is M-1, first modification is M-1A1, second modification M-1A2 etc.
I think everyone would know what we were talking about with simply "MM".

You got me to thinking. I hate just following the crowd. Time to sort this out. New thread coming!

Tues 25th Sept. As an experiment I tried a Schick Proline Type B - AC blade in a Micromatic, or OCMM. Yesterday I had a 3rd Shave with that combination and the Shave was smooth in all areas, and the standard of the finished Shave was very good. Some may consider this to be out of order - but it works. Folk bring back to life Razors that only take propriety blades by adapting modern blades.
